My research focus is the investigation of multisensory perception. Under which circumstances (e.g. in noisy environments) do we make most use of multisensory information? Which factors influence the binding or separation of audiovisual information? How does temporal attention shape multisensory perception? How does multisensory stimulation influence attention? I try to answer these questions by using psychophysical methods as well as neuroimaging methods (EEG, fMRI). Currently I also extend existing methodological approaches for combined EEG-fMRI experiment.
