Speaker: Prof. Andrew J. Parker MA, PhD, ScD, FRSB (Dept Physiology, Anatomy and Genetics, University of Oxford)
Title: “Seeing depth with two eyes: the binocular physiology of 3D space“
Host: Prof. Dr. Emrah Düzel
Abstract: The talk summarizes the recent G L Brown Prize Lectures
given at the Physiological Society. Andrew’s research
explores many aspects of spatial vision and the neuronal
mechanisms of perceptual decisions, but especially
concentrates on the neurophysiology and neuro-imaging of
stereoscopic vision in non-human primates. Additionally,
Andrew will broaden the topic with some human imaging
data.
