In this meeting, a panel of reputable international experts
will discuss the pathophysiology, diagnosis and
therapy of non-motor symptoms in Parkinson’s disease,
which are known to affect the majority of patients in the
course of disease and often significantly contribute to
disability and impaired quality of life. In a special
session, deep brain stimulation
and its effects on non-motor symptoms and brain
plasticity will be specifically addressed. In addition, young investigators will present
exciting new data from their research on non-motor
symptoms in short DataBlitzes.
