The research group investigated neuroprotective strategies against dementia and stroke. The main topics
were:
i) synaptic and network disturbances of oligomeric amyloid forms of ß-amyloid
ii) role of neutrophils and microglia in experimental stroke
iii) stem cells for stroke repair.
