The main research focus of the Data & Knowledge Engineering group I am
heading is on technologies to analyze and support human information
seeking processes. We are studying and developing methods for adaptive
user interfaces that enable analyzing user behavior based on interaction
and physiological data, and technologies for personalized interactive
information visualization based on user profiles derived from the
collected behavior data. Besides this more fundamental research, we are
developing software tools for data analysis and (multimedia) information
retrieval jointly with industrial partners.
